Team Registration & Deliverables
For Team Captains. The Team Captain owns registration and the submission of the team's deliverables (Game Rules, Section 6). There is no account or password: each button below opens a Google Form in a new tab.
1. Register your team
Opens October 15 · Closes 11:59pm November 15, 2026 (Eastern Time)
The Team Captain completes this form once for the team.
A certified Team LSO is required at registration. A team with no certified LSO on file cannot participate (Game Rules, Section 8b).
How to Pay the Registration Fee
Registration Fee 1 is $500, due 11:59pm November 30, 2026 (Eastern Time).
- Complete the registration form.
- AIAA will email the Team Captain an invoice within 7 days of registration.
- Pay the invoice by check or credit card.
- AIAA will provide a receipt.
Because this form includes a file upload, Google will ask you to sign in with a Google account.
2. Submit your design report and LSO training log
Due 11:59pm January 15, 2027 (Eastern Time)
One form, two uploads:
- Your design report. At minimum: an itemized bill of materials, wiring diagram, laser datasheet, UAS datasheet, and preflight checklist (Section 9c).
- Your signed Team LSO training log (Section 8b).
Late by a day costs 100 points, and more than 30 days late means you are out of the competition (Section 9c).
Because this form includes file uploads, Google will ask you to sign in with a Google account.
3. Submit your airworthiness video link
Due 11:59pm April 15, 2027 (Eastern Time)
Submit a link to your team's airworthiness video. This form takes a link only, with no file upload.
Make sure anyone with the link can watch it without signing in, for example an unlisted YouTube video or a Google Drive link set to "Anyone with the link can view."
Content requirements for the video will be announced.
